Are these pictures of "A shanty in old shanty-town",as the song goes?.No,they are the frontage buildings of Honda's multi million pound,top F1 team HQ;based in Brackley,Northhants,just off the old A43 to Northhampton road.It could be that using old packing cases for offices,means that they have saved enough money to produce a race winning car.Lets hope Ron Dennis(McLaren team principle)doesn't catch sight of them,or he will want to change his place to look the same.Lets hope the car has a better appearance. Comments please.....

It has since come to light that the buildings were going to be a Hotel owned by Renard racing.After protests from Brackley residents and Brackley town council who stated that the buildings were an eyesore and gave bad first impressions to people visiting the town - the frontage buildings have now been torn down.
Honda F1 now plan to build a new exhibition center in it's place.

I think honda saved the money on building repairs and paid it for its new livery =))
wiz kid!,sorry i've taken so long to reply(no excuse i'm afraid).Glad you get the humor in this post - but on a serious note i have no idea why they keep the buildings in this state,it could be something to do with Brackley council.My Dad actually took the pics and wrote the article - i will see if he can do a bit of digging and find out exactly whats going on with these buildings.

it looks okay from the front, but they are some bad looking 'out buildings'.
we stopped by there once but a security guard chased us away :(
Ha ha! thank's for the comment sidepodcast,i live just up the road from their hq and my dad cycles past there quite often.When he heard i had a weblog he took the pictures and wrote the witty post to accompany it.They didn't see him hiding in the bushes with his camera ha ha!.
I'm still amazed that with all that money they can't tidy the place up a bit.I'm very interested to find out the reason - will put it in a future post one day.
